Counsel from an attorney, proper drafting and execution of a will are all important to ensure your desires are met in the event of your death.  Errors can invalidate or change the way your assets are distributed.  Additionally, complications such as tax implications and special circumstances can only be adequately managed in a will.

Creating or changing a will should be done in case of a divorce, death of a beneficiary, marriage, birth of a child or other type of life or business change, including buying real estate.

If you die without having a will, the law (not you) provides a rigid formula for the disbursement of your property.  Failure to make a will could cause hardship and added expenses for your immediate family and may benefit some relative you may not even know.  The only way to handle any special situation is to create a carefully planned will.
